Gordon explores relationships between colors, patterns, and textures. He sets up still life tables with brightly colored large print fabric that drapes across the table top and cover the backdrop. On the tables paper items are arranged. These come from pictures found on the internet cut out and shaped to appear to be three dimensional. The colors and textures are outrageous. Extremely vibrant blues, magenta, and orange all vibrate off of each other. The prints are an amazing way to get something in your photo without actually having whatever that may be. The lemons looked so real if they weren't ripped they would be very deceiving. I don't think too much about tableau photos before because I thought it would be too much intrusion of the photographer over the situation but to get a specific type of image the photo and scene must be manipulated anyway.
